Eaton Corporation Manufacturing Facilities Transformation Manager in Amarillo, Texas

Eaton Corporation’s Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) division is seeking a highly experienced Manufacturing Facilities Transformation Manager to lead strategic improvements across machining and foundry operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of machining and foundry processes, lean manufacturing principles, and project management expertise in facility transformation initiatives. This is an onsite position based in Syracuse, NY with 50% travel to Amarillo, TX, supporting the Crouse-Hinds business.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $123750.0 - $181500.0 a year. Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you’ll do:

This role is responsible for driving operational efficiency, modernizing manufacturing processes, and optimizing plant layouts to support business growth and competitiveness.

In this role you will:

  • Leverage critical thinking to build and execute complex capital investment projects exceeding $40M, managing and communicating the scope of work and responsibilities between Eaton’s employees and suppliers/sub-contractors

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive transformation strategy for machining and foundry operations to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency

  • Provides influence, leadership and guidance to GEIS Plant Managers and Engineering Leaders on managing large-scale capital-intensive projects and initiatives

  • Directly mentors, supervises and develops a team of project manufacturing engineers in the performance of their respective roles and consistent with the Eaton Leadership model

  • Ensure seamless integration of new technologies and best practices into existing operations

  • Analyze current manufacturing processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement data-driven improvements

  • Plans, establishes, maintains, and regularly updates key stakeholders on project statuses, including timelines, milestones, costs, and leads facility modernization projects, such as equipment upgrades, process automation, and layout optimization

  • Responsible for the financial performance of all projects, inclusive cash flow, budget and timing

  • Collaborates with GEIS functional senior leaders to develop all project submittal documentation, including Scope of Work (SOW), Drawing Packages, Schedules, and other requisite documentation

  • Utilizes the Management of Change (MOC) process to prepare, distribute, and implement project safety plans

  • Drive lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, value stream mapping, and waste reduction

  • Support workforce development through training programs focused on new processes and technologies

  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements throughout transformation efforts

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution OR Associate's degree with 15 years of experience working in a Foundry.

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience with progressive levels of accountability and responsibility in Manufacturing/Operations, Continuous Improvement, and/or Manufacturing Engineering.

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of plant manufacturing leadership experience

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical degree

  • Strong project management skills with experience leading large-scale facility transformation initiatives.

  • Knowledge of machining processes, CNC equipment, casting methods, metallurgy, and foundry operations.

  • Ability to develop and manage capital expenditure (CapEx) projects.
