AdventHealth CFO Physician Enterprise & Ambulatory Services Southwest Region in Altamonte Springs, Florida

GENERAL SUMMARY :

Responsible for planning and controlling all financial activities for the organization while maintaining compliance with overall policies. The executive is the financial counselor/advisor for the organization. The CFO plans, organizes, and administers the organization-wide programs of financial management and reporting and revenue cycle operations to best meet the strategic objectives of the organization. CFO is responsible for overseeing the coding (provider auditing, education and monitoring) function of HCP. The CFO provides oversight and direction in the areas of compliance, managed care rate analysis, provider compensation plan administration and revenue cycle functions. The CFO is a member of the AHHCP System Operating Council and provides guidance and direction to the AHHCP Governing Board as requested and required.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

Management responsibility for day-to-day Financial and Revenue Cycle Operations for AdventHealth HealthCare Partners.

§ Plan, organize, and control financial and revenue cycle policies and processes

§ Develop and present operating and capital budgets, financial statements, and reports

§ Develop and present billing and collection reports and other revenue cycle metric reports

§ Develop, implement, and adhere to all internal control policies and procedures

§ Practice effective cost management

§ Participate in strategic planning and operational decision-making for the organization

§ Take part in employment and performance reviews

§ Maintain relations with external auditors, financial consultants and third party vendors

§ Support and enable Corporate Compliance

§ P&L production, analytics and review on a routine basis

§ Balance Sheet management

§ Capital management and planning

§ Monthly/Annual month end close process

§ Budget creation for all entities

§ Provide support and oversight to Coding department (provider auditing, education and monitoring)

§ Provide Accounts Receivable / Revenue Cycle oversight and reporting

§ Managed care rate analysis

§ Administer provider compensation plan and assist with design

§ Ongoing development of provider compensation structure/models

§ Annual review of provider pay structure to comply with regulations

§ Interface with AHS Physician Enterprise

§ Evaluation and creation of proformas for all new and proposed physician practices & services

§ Coordination of third party fair market value engagements

§ Participation in due diligence process for acquisitions

§ Participation in the recruitment process through presentation of practice proformas, compensation projections and physician interviews.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting

· Minimum five (5) years in healthcare financial management with significant physician practice experience

§ Identification and commitment to mission, philosophy, and goals of organization

§ People skills including motivating, communicating, and conflict resolution

§ Highly advanced financial skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

· Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting; CPA preferred

· 5 years in a senior management position

· Experience as a hospital-owned physician group Chief Financial Officer

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:

· Licensed CPA
