ASRC Federal Holding Company Environmental Specialist in Albuquerque, New Mexico

ASRC Federal NetCentric Technology, LLC is seeking an Environmental Specialist to support environmental compliance activities under the Kirtland AFB Engineering Operations Services (KEOS) contract in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform the successful completion of documentation and technical aspects of NEPA/state/local environmental processes.

  • Review and process Work Order Request forms, Environmental Impact Analysis forms, dig permits, Controlled Firing Area Committee/Range Management Office schedules; ensure all activities have gone through the NEPA process.

  • Review construction review documents for proposed projects per month and ensure the proper NEPA and environmental requirements have been met and are communicated and documented.

  • NEPA Recordkeeping and Miscellaneous Administrative Support. Review hardcopy version of historical NEPA documents and compare with electronic version on server.

  • Work with the Environmental Management System (EMS) Cross-Functional Team.

  • Assist with program-level self-assessment to assess compliance with all Federal, State, local and Air Force environmental regulations and laws.

  • Data entry and tracking of project statuses and schedules from concept development through final review.

  • Additional environmental services as assigned.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor of Science degree with five years of related experience. Post-graduate education may be considered in lieu of the required experience.

  • Must have a working knowledge of conducting environmental inspections within industrial shops, identifying areas of environmental noncompliance, and developing corrective action plans.

  • Experience building and managing relationships with a variety of cross-functional partners.

  • Experience working at a military installation preferred.

  • Must be able to pass a drug screen.

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued secret security clearance.

  • Be proficient in using Microsoft Office 365 software suite.

  • Must be able to pass a drug screen.

  • Must maintain a valid US driver's license.

  • Have ability to perform repetitive physical tasks involving lifting at least 50 lbs.

  • Be committed to providing for and maintaining a safe working environment.
