Job Overview
The Large-Scale Renewables (LSR) team seeks to hire a personable and analytical individual to join our Pricing and Operations group. This outstanding candidate will manage NYSERDA’s REC portfolio and lead the LSR voluntary sales program. The successful candidate will lead NYSERDA’s bold entry into the REC market. NYSERDA is expanding its sales position from its current market of obligated load serving entities to all purchasers not limited to commercial, industrial, municipal and higher education. The Project Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and executing business relationships with various large customers. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and leading NYSERDA’s marketing approach.
This is an ideal role for an experienced sales professional with the drive, ambition and know-how to take proven capabilities and grow a business in new markets. The ability to analyze customers unique operational needs and deliver sophisticated solutions to the C-Suite is critical in this position. The following traits are key to the successful candidate:

Primary Responsibilities
Lead the proposal effort in conjunction with management and colleagues for complex new business opportunities
Drive new business growth and build critical mass within agreed timeframes
Provide input and guidance on the development of new solutions
Be the main point of contact for customers participating in the NYSERDA Voluntary Sale Program
Attend conferences and gather intelligence on market trends, etc.
Perform other assigned tasks or duties as needed
Ability to demonstrate respect, equity and inclusive behavior and practices of a diverse workforce and community.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, accounting, engineering, business or another technical field
Minimum 5-years’ experience in sales role working in an energy management solutions or related field with a focus on large C&I power users
Understanding of the voluntary REC market
Solid understanding of regional REC requirements as well as obligations under New York’s Clean Energy Standard.
Familiarity with Salesforce or comparable CRM
Knowledge of and insight into environmental impacts and markets, and market actors
Advanced presentation skills: demonstrated ability to break down new and complex topics and communicate clear insights
Skill in managing multiple, diverse projects or activities simultaneously, delivering on commitments and operating with speed, accuracy, and strong judgement
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of wholesale energy markets and systems, renewable energy technology and associated infrastructure
Strong stakeholder outreach and engagement capabilities including strong public speaking and presentation skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Ability to cope with tight deadlines and high-stress work environment
An understanding of New York City Local Law
Entrepreneurial and innovative; continuous learner mindset
Demonstrated organizational and process management skills
