Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Business Analyst within our NYS Integrated Eligibility Systems team located in Albany, NY.

Key Responsibilities:
  • The BA will adhere to agile framework to create quality user stories, provide
inputs for prototyping, review current state systems with to be process, work

with product owner to add clarity on user stories

Tasks included:
  • Extract, transform, and document legacy systems' functionality, develop clear user stories working based on the requirements identified in the product roadmaps.
  • Transform existing time-consuming interaction to modernized user interaction, write user stories to develop extensive product backlog, participate in product backlog grooming sessions, capture system requirements on a mainframe modernization project covering multiple complex functional domains. Participate in agile ceremonies, drive sprint planning sessions.

Mandatory Qualifications:
  • Level II- Between four (4) and seven (7) years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • Between four (5) and seven (7) years experience in agile, hybrid agile iterative software development, product backlog grooming, road map development.
  • Between four (4) and seven (7) years of experience identifying, documenting and
validating system requirements across multiple agencies, with a focus on the

Human Service domain including eligibility, enrollment, and case management of SNAP, HEAP, PA, or Child Support

Desired Qualifications:
  • Between four (4) and seven (7) years of experience on projects analyzing, extracting, transforming, and documenting legacy systems' functionality, system logic, and business rules
  • Between four (4) and seven (7) years of experience identifying, documenting and validating system requirements on a mainframe modernization project covering multiple complex functional domains.
  • Between four (4) and seven (7) years' experience in writing quality user stories, creating prototypes, sprint planning
  • Between four (4) and seven (7) years of experience of working independently in conducting the full analysis of a project.
  • Between four (4) and seven (7) years of experience utilizing requirements management tools similar to Blueprint.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. This includes, but is not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. At Voyatek, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current hourly range is $54.00 to $64.00.

This screening may include, but is not limited to, verification of employment history, education, criminal records, and other relevant checks. For certain positions, additional client-specific background screenings may be required in the future, in accordance with client requirements.

Voyatek does significant work with Federal and State tax and revenue authorities. If applicable, hires for these projects will be required to obtain a Federal Public Trust Clearance (Moderate Background Investigation). This clearance process may start upon offer acceptance; however, this clearance must be obtained prior to working on these projects.
