Overview:The Companies of J.J. Young is seeking a Grants Manager for our client in Albany. Our client is a non-profit that seeks to support underprivileged communities in New York. Candidates for this position should be passionate about helping their community and have previous experience managing government, corporate, or foundation grants.Position Summary:The Grants Manager will be responsible for overseeing the lifecyle of all client grants with a primary focus on grant administration, compliance, and reporting. This individual is also responsible for ensuring that all grant-funded projects meet all requirements and works closely with fiscal and program staff to maintain compliance and accuracy. The ideal candidate is an excellent writer, pays attention to detail, has a passion for the client's mission, and has prior grant management experience.Duties:•Monitor active grants to ensure compliance with further guidelines and requirements•Track grant budgets, expenses, and deliverables in collaboration with the finance department•Prepare accurate and timely financial and programmatic reports, track deadlines, and measure progress•Ensure timely communication with funders•Identify and evaluate grant opportunities•Build and maintain relationships with private, corporate, and government grant-making entities•Collaborate with fiscal and program staff to ensure accurate tracking of grant expenditures•Assist in writing grant proposals, as needed, ensuring alignment with funder guidelines•Provide training or guidance to staff on grant-related processes and compliance requirements•Stay informed on industry and non-profit funding trends•Support leadership with updates and recommendations regarding grant compliance and performanceQualifications:•Bachelor's degree in non-profit management, public administration, or related field; Master's degree is a plus•Minimum 3 years of experience in grant administration, compliance, or financial oversight•Proven track record of managing government, corporate, and foundation grants•Strong knowledge of grant compliance, including budgeting, financial reporting, and program tracking•Proficiency with management tools, financial software, and Microsoft OfficeSuite•Excellent organizational and project management skillsIf you are passionate about making a difference through effective grant management and possess the necessary skills, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity as a Grants Manager or call Evan at (518)452-7090!
