Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Agoura Hills, California
Description We are in the service industry and are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist based in Agoura Hills, California. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and coding invoices using MS Dynamics GP. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity, providing an invaluable opportunity to develop and hone your skills in the realms of Microsoft Excel, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Check Processing, Data Entry, and MS Great Plains Dynamics.
Responsibilities:
• Processing and coding invoices in MS Dynamics GP efficiently and accurately
• Regularly monitoring and maintaining accurate customer credit records
• Addressing and resolving customer credit inquiries in a timely manner
• Conducting regular checks and updates on customer credit accounts
• Taking appropriate actions to collect delinquent payments from customers
• Using Microsoft Excel to manage and present financial data
• Implementing accounting functions to ensure financial integrity
• Managing Accounts Payable (AP) processes
• Conducting check processing as part of the financial operations
• Handling data entry tasks as needed to maintain and update financial records. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes
• Familiarity with Check Processing operations
• Ability to perform efficient Data Entry tasks
• Experience with MS Great Plains Dynamics
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Willingness to continually update skills and knowledge as job requirements evolve
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in work outputs
• Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
