Summary: This position is responsible for following procedures for product assembly, fabrication, test, equipment operation and safety requirements as documented in the company\'s quality system. He or she is responsible for assembling products, handling products, equipment and materials per the Production Department and company\'s quality system procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Measures parts to determine specified tolerance.
Positions and aligns parts.
Bolts, screws, and rivets parts together.
Disassembles and replaces parts as required.
Cleans and lubricates parts and assemblies.
Capable of soldering and de-soldering of surface mounted devices and associated electrical wiring.
Marks identifying information on parts.

Education and/or Experience
One year certificate from college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read in English a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak sentences in English.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10\'s and 100\'s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Inspect and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
Perform simple functional tests to assure requirements are met.
Assemble parts or units, and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames, using hand tools and power tools.
Position, align, and adjust parts for proper fit and assembly.
Connect cables, tubes, and wiring, according to specifications.
Attach name plates and mark identifying information on parts.
Read blueprints and specifications to determine component parts and assembly sequences of electromechanical units.
Disassemble units to replace parts or to crate them for shipping.
Measure parts to determine tolerances, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
Clean and lubricate parts and subassemblies, using grease paddles or oilcans.
Other Qualifications
Must be able to work overtime on a routine basis.
Must be certified to perform soldering activities.
